SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING OF

THE ROTARY CLUB OF RUTHERGLEN.

Held in the Kings Park Hotel on Thursday 10th December 2009.

MINUTE.
  1. Apologies :- Vice President Barry Toshner, PP Jim Fitzpatrick, PP Charlie McEwen,
    PP Phil Spence, PP John Lloyd, PP David Paul, PP Colin Stanfield, PP Richard Wallace and John Paton.
  2. Attendance 20 members of the Club as per the list attached.
  3. Opening remarks by President Andy advising the purpose of the meeting which was
    to agree the election of the Officers of the Club and others for the coming year.
  4. Proposal of President Elect Eddie Goldberg as your President for 2010 – 2011.
    Agreed unanimously.
  5. Proposal of Vice President Barry Toshner as your President Elect for  2010 – 2011.
    Agreed unanimously.
  6. Proposal of Brian Williams as your Vice President for the year 2010 – 2011.
    Agreed unanimously.
  7. Proposal of Robert Coleman as our Treasurer for the year 2010 – 2011.
    Agreed unanimously.
  8. PP Brian Cole-Hamilton agreed to continue as Secretary and was therefore
    Proposed as your Secretary for the year 2010 – 2011.
    Agreed unanimously.
  9. Proposal of Two Voting Delegates and deputies to the RIBI Conference in Bournemouth
    15th to 18th April 2010. The voting delegates were agreed to be the President and President Elect and the deputies any of the other officers or member of the Club if required.
  10. Proposal of our Secretary PP Brian Cole-Hamilton as Official Promoter for our Lotteries Licence.
    Agreed unanimously.

    PP Phil Spence, PP Ronnie Forrest, PP John Leslie, PP Stuart Kemp, PP Jim Bolton,
    Brian Williams, Barry Toshner and David Dobson.
     
  2. Attendance 18 members of the Club as per the list attached.
     
  3. Opening remarks by President Bill advising the purpose of the meeting which was
    to agree the election of the Officers of the Club and others for the coming year.
     
  4. Proposal of President Elect Andy Cattanach as your President for 2009 – 2010.
    Agreed unanimously.

  8. PP Brian Cole-Hamilton agreed to continue as Secretary and was therefore
    Proposed as your Secretary for the year 2009 – 2010.
    Agreed unanimously.

    Agreed unanimously.
     
  11. Treasurer PP David Wilson apologised for the delay in presenting our accounts for the year to 30th June 2008 due to his knee problem. Copies were provided for all members.
    David gave a full and comprehensive explanation of these and satisfactorily answered all the questions asked.
    Acceptance of the Accounts so presented was proposed by PP Duncan McIntosh and seconded by Immediate Past President Ian Wilson

    Agreed unanimously.

  6. There was no Volunteer for a Vice President for the year 2008 – 2009.
    This position therefore remains vacant.
  7. PP David Wilson agreed to continue as our Treasurer and was therefore
    Proposed as your Treasurer for the year 2008 – 2009.

    Proposed as your Secretary for the year 2008 – 2009.

  9. Presentation by Treasurer PP David Wilson and approval of our Accounts.
    was deferred until our Treasurer’s health allowed for his return to the Club.
    Date to be set with David on his return.
