Cutting the grass at Abbeyfield Rutherglen benefits Abbeyfield, the grass cutters (exercise and satisfaction of a job well done) and the Club Charity Fund.

This service has been run very satisfactorily, since its inception, by PP PHF David Paul, but relies upon the help and co operation of all the Rutherglen Club members.

The task is relatively simple. David maintains the equipment, keeps the keys to the mower storage area, maintains the list of volunteer grass cutters and generally supervises the entire operation.

All that is required of the volunteers is a little commitment of time and energy on a Thursday evening.

If three or four volunteers help each night the task is fairly easy.
